We’ve had a bit of a whirlwind couple of weeks, and we needed to get away for this long Labor Day weekend. We’ve been very busy, and we have a lot to thank God for.
This week we filed with the state to make our most recent endeavor an LLC. Expressions of Sugar has kicked off with an amazing start. Liisa is an awesome baker, and she is enjoying every minute of this venture (except for the fact that she’s the center of attention). It has made for some EARLY Saturday mornings to run our farmer’s market booth, but it has proven to be very rewarding.
Last week we received approval for our home study! We’re sending off our paperwork to the Philippines in the next week or so. It’s been a long road so far, but worth every step. Thank you to all our friends and family for your love and support!
My work hours have also long, and this week we burned the midnight oil a couple times. My latest endeavor has been picking up projects in Oregon to help our new office in the central/eastern area of that state. A couple weeks ago, I flew down there for an overnight visit to a few sites. It’s an interesting and diverse area!
This weekend we decided to get away. It’s easy to be buried in routine, and sometimes life gets overwhelming and stressful. Sometimes we just need to wind down, spend quality time together, and take a step back for a recharge. This long weekend was a perfect opportunity. It’s always good to have enough family time to wear the kids out.
Hope you’re enjoying your Labor Day weekend!
How exciting!! I’m so glad the Farmers Market was worth doing! I’m not surprised, though. Liisa is excellent at baking. Enjoy your long weekend!! Love you all-
