“Daddy, the moon looks like a fingernail!”
This was Jasmine’s exclamation as we drove home from church Sunday evening. Slightly puzzled, I glanced up at the dark sky. Sure enough, the crescent moon looked like a cleanly cut tip of fingernail. “Why yes, it does!” was all I could come up with in response to this unusual comparison.
The imaginative minds of children are often fascinating. If we listen, we can enjoy, appreciate, and encourage the creative ideas of those around us. When was the last time you formed shapes and stories from the clouds in the sky?
