Liisa and I like to personalize our license plates. If you know us, you’ve seen our plates—it’s something we like to do with our vehicles. The downside about registering a vehicle is having to wait in line at the DMV. I’m not sure anyone likes waiting at the DMV. If you show up early enough, maybe you can beat the crowd. Our county has implemented an automated queueing system where you can reserve your place in line and be notified when your turn is approaching.
This week I was at the DMV registering a vehicle. I used the automated system, and it minimized my wait time. As we normally do, I began the search through organizations that have plates to choose from. I’ve seen designs around Montana that I like, but seeing what organizations they represent steers me away from them.
On one of our vehicles, we have a patriotic plate that supports the Department of Veteran Affairs. I didn’t want to use the same plate design, so I looked for another. I stumbled upon an interesting one by Big Sky Bravery. This organization focuses on rehabilitating Special Operations Forces so that they can merge back into their families and hometowns. This is something I can support. I’m loving the new plate!
God bless our veterans!
Good job, son. Uncle John would be pleased.
