This past weekend Liisa and Madelyn were out of town, and Jasmine and I had some quality time together. As soon as Liisa was gone, Jasmine started making a list of things she wanted to do. After I got off work Friday, we reviewed the list. I had to talk her out of a few things and remind her of some chores we had to do.
We did end up doing most of her wish list, but I also added items a few of my own. We went on a bike ride, which was funbut also tiring! We ran a farmer’s market booth together; we ordered pizza; we tried a new playground. On Saturday evening, we went on a date to Montana Club. Both of us dressed up, and Jasmine was excited to wear make up and heels. We had a lot of fun!
Aside from our date, another highlight was our hike up Mt. Sentinel to see the “M.” Jasmine was unsure she was going to make it, but we stopped to rest at most of the benches along the way. The view is beautiful from the mountain! On our way up, we talked about endurance and learned from all the other people also hiking up/down
the mountain. Now as we drive around town, Jasmine looks up at the mountain and says, “I’ve been up there!” Certain views can be seen only from the mountaintop.
That sounds like a lot of fun. I’m glad you had this time together to remember. Dad
