There’s something about a new year. Another year to get used to writing again; resolutions to improve some aspect of life; renewal of subscriptions and memberships; reminders of financial awareness (or lack of it); repurposing or reestablishment of time with family. Replacing last year’s calendar is like a big reset button.

At home, we are figuring out what projects are needed this year and how we’ll pay for them. We’re also evaluating our mortgage payments so that we can put money where it counts—less principal means less interest!

At work this year, my plan is to make work life less stressful by taking more regular time off, improving time management and efficiency, and finding ways to delegate better where possible.

Last year I started a 3-year Bible reading plan that assigns a chapter to most days. Our family is also looking for ways to be a blessing to more people.

Last but not least, I finally started working, out again. The body aches and muscles scream, but it feels good!

What are your goals this year?
