This summer we have many weddings to attend and to remember. It’s an exciting and memorable time. A life partner is chosen, and a new chapter of life is beginning! Weddings often involve a lot of drama, stress, excitement, adrenaline, and—you guessed it—exhaustion.
Wedding Day is a BIG day! It takes so much planning, and there are usually several people involved. Good organization and clarity help define and schedule details, so others know what all is going on. Communication is key! The end game is to help everyone involved to understand the what, when, where, and how. A good wedding coordinator shines with these traits to alleviate stress and help the wedding couple stay focused on their day. The goal is to keep Wedding Day memorable, and in a good way!
Liisa and I celebrated our anniversary this past week. Nine years sounds like an eternity to anyone just married, but our wedding day still feels like it was yesterday. Our big day did have much of the usual stress and drama, but we are left some good memories, beautiful photos, and each other. We are at the point in our life together that we have (sadly) outlived some friends’ marriages, and some (this is the scary part) are coming to us for marriage advice.
We love each other and our life together. Nine years and counting! This past weekend we celebrated with a family day trip to Coeur d’Alene, ID. Inserting ourselves into the bustle of another town, walking through a downtown we’ve never seen before, and stopping at a random ice cream shop—we enjoy getting out and away for miniature vacations. As the train of life continues to barrel down the track, we take in the view, make the memories, and thank God for all the little things along the way. So here’s to our last of single-digit anniversaries—may the memories continue!
